What should the customer know about your pricing?
I have an hour rate for my investigations and provide my customers with personal attention to obtain and complete the assigned task. My hourly rate is between $75-$125 per hour depending on the particular assignment.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My customers either call me or email me to discuss their situation and what they are looking for. I provide them with information and determine if I believe I can help them or provide an honest assessment or referral to someone that could possibly help them if I cannot.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of Indiana University. I have been a certified Law Enforcement Officer in Indiana and SC. I have also received firearms training within the State of Florida and am authorized to carry a concealed firearm in conjunction with my duties as a Private Investigator. I have been through Police Academies and Insurance Training schools for a variety of disciplines.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
As mentioned earlier my previous police experience and work as a claim representative lead me to my career as a Private Investigator. I have been fortunate and have worked very hard for my customers to be in business for this long as a sole proprietor.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with Law Firms, Private Individuals, Large and Small Corporations, Law Enforcement Agencies, and Government Organizations on a wide variety of cases including surveillance, background checks, asset checks, accident investigations, skip tracing, civil and criminal investigations as well.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
I assisted another PI on a case in which we were tasked with finding various assets that were believed to have been stolen. I was able to get out into the field and locate several of the missing assets and report back to our client. This case is heading to court as arrests have been made.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Anyone hiring a Private Investigator should confirm licensing and reputation in as much as possible. Call each one and get a feel for how they service their customers. Unfortunately there are many investigators that are just looking to run up a huge bill and provide no results for their customers. I do not run my business that way. I provide an honest and open service for my customers and clients.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
It their particular case related to a court case, In the case of a domestic surveillance some clients need to know even if it is not admissible in court. Certain financial searches and asset check require a judgment to have been entered prior to obtaining these records. They also need to know that this is real life and not everything they see on TV is real or possible in today's world. No every case is solved in an hour. This is why communication with my customers is of utmost priority in dealing with PDK Investigations.
